Prayer Request — Matt Evanhoe

From Matt: I have an interview in Toronto next Thursday for a position in Japan. This position and company from what I have read would be awesome to have. Thanks so much.

Father, we thank you for providing this opportunity for Matt and we ask that you would give him favor with the interviewer.  Please give him safety in his travel to and from Toronto and also a sense of peace as he answers their questions.  We pray that your will be done, in Jesus’ name.  Amen

Prayer Request — Matt Evanhoe

From Anita Evanhoe —

Matt Evanhoe has a couple of Skype interviews for a possibility of teaching English in South Korea. He is a bit uncertain as to whether that is the next step he should take. Please be praying for clarity in this opportunity.

Oh Lord God, your word promises that if we lack wisdom we should pray and you will give us that wisdom generously and without reproach.  We ask for wisdom for your son, Matt, as he seeks to do your will.  We ask for clarity of purpose and direction, in Jesus’ name.  Amen

Anyone Got an Extra Cooler?

Jason Ray is looking for a small to medium cooler that he can use to take lunch with him each day on the job as he works for Rich Zepernick.  If you have one you can spare, it would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks very much!

Answer to Prayer – From Joni Evanhoe

(Original prayer request (March 20) — My friend Vanessa (from Germany) has a 2 yr old son who is currently in the hospital. He contracted RotaVirus and was having febrile seizures from a really high fever. When she checked on him last night he was non-responsive and not breathing. Her mom kept him breathing until the ambulance arrived. He is doing well right now- no fever and no seizures, but she would greatly appreciate the prayers for a full and quick recovery.)

Answer received today — Noah is back home & doing very well. His EEG was all clear & he has no negative effects from the virus.

Thank you, Father, for mercy and healing!

O Father of great mercy, who sent your son Jesus Christ to be the Good Shepherd of the sheep, to gather the lambs and carry them near to his heart: We commit into your loving hands this child. Relieve his pain, guard him from all danger, restore to him gladness and strength, and raise him up to a life of service to you. Hear us, we pray, for the sake of the same Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Lord. Amen

Prayer Request — Passing of Bill Saunders

From Chuck Evanhoe:  Bill Saunders lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday.  His memorial service was today.  Please pray for his family, wife Mimi and two daughters and their families, during this very difficult time.

We thank you, O God, for all the goodness and courage which came through the life of your servant Bill into the life of others and have left the world richer for his presence. We thank you for a life’s task faithfully and honorably discharged; for sadness met without surrender, and weakness endured without defeat.  We pray for his wife and children and their families and ask that they be able to sense your love and consolation as they adjust to a life without their beloved husband and father.  We pray these things through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
