Parish Picnic This Sunday

Just a reminder that our second Summer Parish Picnic will be this coming Sunday (July 31), immediately following our service.  We will be at Shelter #2 at Thomas Cloud Park on Brandt Pike, just across the street from Kroger’s.  Please come to church in picnic clothes to join in a potluck meal, fellowship and relaxation right after church.  Drinks and disposables will be provided, but you should bring food for your family and a bit more to share.   There is a water park by the shelter for the children, so you can plan accordingly.  We hope to see many of you there for this fun time!

Last Day to Bring School Supplies

This coming Sunday is the final collection day for school supplies for the neediest children in our community.  All types of school supplies are needed — pens, pencils, spiral notebooks, boxes of tissues, notebook paper, index cards, two-pocket folders, etc.  Please bring your contributions to church and we will be taking them to Stebbins High School to be sorted and then distributed through the schools.  This is a cooperative effort with many other Riverside churches and is a wonderful witness to Christian love and community.  Please try to help!  (Cash contributions of any amount are also welcome and will be used to purchase needed items.  $30 purchases a backpack filled with every supply a child needs to start school, for example.)  Thanks so much for your generosity!

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast

The men of the church will get together this coming Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. for a delicious home-cooked breakfast and a time of fellowship.  All men of the church are warmly invited to attend.

Car Needed

A family in our parish needs the use of a car for a few weeks.  If you have one you are able to lend, please let Dss Candy know and she will get you together with the family.  Thanks very much.

Help Needed This Sunday

Maria and Carolyn Herman will not be at church this Sunday which means we need a substitute acolyte and a substitute nursery worker.  If you can volunteer to help out this week, please let Dss Candy know   (937-572-6682).  Thanks, everyone!
