Important Messages about This Coming Sunday

  1.  Daylight Savings Time ends at 2:00 am Sunday morning.  Set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night!
  2. Father Harry will be teaching a special Adult Sunday School class on Grief at 9:30 am.
  3. Mrs. Mathis’, Mrs. Zepernick’s, and Mrs. Herman/Mr. Taylor’s Sunday School classes will begin practicing for the Children’s Christmas Play during the Sunday School time.  ALL children will be given some part to play — so please come if you can sing, play an instrument, or just smile!
  4. In celebration of the Feast of All Saints’, you are invited to come dressed as (or carrying something that is emblematic of) your favorite saint — living or dead.
  5. Following the service, we will enjoy fellowship together at our Chili Cook-Off lunch.  Bring your best pot of chili and a side or dessert — or just bring something to share and enjoy someone else’s chili.  Let’s see which recipe wins the coveted prize this year!

Looking forward to a glorious Feast of All Saints together — this coming Sunday, November 1!

Children’s Christmas Play

Beginning next Sunday, November 1, we will be having practice for the children’s Christmas program during the Sunday School hour. Please bring your children in Mrs. Mathis’, Mrs. Zepernick’s, and Herman/Taylor classes at 9:30 next week. We have some musicians in the Middle School class whose talents we can put to good use!

I look forward to seeing all singers!

Barb Zepernick

Please Pray for Natalie Mathis

From Fr. Harry’s brother Rob:

“Dear Family & Friends, please pray for Natalie. She has been experiencing a recurrence of a few symptoms of Guillain-Barre’ (difficulty breathing & walking) & is undergoing testing.  Doctors are uncertain of the cause, but it may be that Natalie has been trying to do too much, too soon. Thank you!”

O Heavenly Father, we praise you for the healing you have granted to our sister Natalie to this point, and we ask that you grant that you would restore her to that perfect health which it is yours alone to give;  we also pray that you would grant her great faith to see your faithfulness in this difficult time, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Help Needed with our Littlest Ones!

We are working on putting together a roster of people who can help with our Sunday School Nursery in 2016.  The more people we have, the less often anyone will have to serve.  The job requires being in the nursery from approximately 9:20 till 10:15 so that our littlest members are cared for while their parents attend or teach Sunday School.  It’s a wonderful way to serve in our parish family!    Can you help?  Please contact Anita Evanhoe to let her know if you are willing to be on the schedule.   verbalchild@gmail.com or 623-2570

Update — Fr. Neeb

Darlene Prenger has visited several times in the last two days with Fr. Neeb at Hospice.  She asks that we would pray for ease of breathing, an absence of pain, and relief from discomfort.  Please keep our dear brother in your prayers, thanking God for his ministry over many years, his life, and for all those he has touched and ministered to in the Name of Jesus.
