Just a reminder that Jon Miller will begin an additional Adult Sunday School class this week (May 3). In addition to Fr. Harry’s class on Heaven, In Light of Eternity, Jon will be teaching a study on the book of Ruth. Locations of the classes will be determined on Sunday by the numbers for each class. Hope to see you there!
Due to some scheduling difficulties, we are moving the four confirmation classes (originally scheduled to begin this Sunday) to Sundays in June from 4:00 p.m till 5:45. There is still time to think about taking the classes either as a refresher or as preparation for confirmation. All are welcome! The dates are June 7, 14, 21, and 28th.

In preparation for one of the activities for our church anniversary party, Barb Zepernick is asking for baby/young child pictures from everyone. Bill Fortener will be having surgery on Tuesday to remove a malignant bladder tumor, plus numerous stones. He had surgery this past Friday to remove kidney stones. Please pray for Bill and for Dorathea as she ministers to her husband.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we pray that you would comfort your servant Bill in his suffering, and bless the means made use of for his cure. Fill his heart with confidence, that, though he may have fear or anxiety, yet he may put his trust in you; give strength and refreshment to your servant Dorathea and fill her with the joy of knowing that she is doing your will; fill the surgeons and all who minister with skill and compassion to accomplish your good purposes. All this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

From Chuck Evanhoe’s controller Amber:
I know you all have asked and shared your concern so I am asking for continued prayer for Bryson and his family. They are experiencing the first real major setback and desperately need lots of prayers.
The doctors have come to his mom and informed her that Bryson does not have enough good skin left after the surgeries and since the body will not accept another person’s skin they have an issue because the body cannot live without skin. She had to sign a consent form for them to take DNA to try and make skin but it take 2 weeks and that will be very dangerous and hard for him to wait the 2 weeks. His mom is devastated right now and not handling the news very well. Please give them all the strength and courage to stay strong. Pray the DNA makes skin and that Bryson can wait that long. He has been so strong and this weekend showed some signs of awareness and even mouthed to his Nana that he loved her.
Thank you guys for all your prayers and thoughts!!
Do you have a guitar taking up space in your den or basement? Do you recognize that you probably aren’t putting it to good use? We have a parishioner who could join our music team but needs a guitar. If you have one, or have an idea where we might find one, please let Dss Candy know (email@example.com).
An update from Rob Mathis about daughter Natalie:
I have had so many people asking about Natalie…daily this past week…and realize we need to give an update. First, I want to send out a great shout out to Megan for her wonderful news! Starting college! And for her mum getting to go back to work! Hurray!
Natalie is currently attending Seattle Central Community College and is doing some nanny work as well! There are times I just cry when I see how well Natalie is doing and think of how dark and sorrowful times were for… so long in one of several hospitals! You cannot imagine as parents how grateful we are to “have our sweet Natalie” back with us…The road is long and certainly the journey not complete…but Nat has come so far and is making incredible progress in therapy and more importantly in life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the incredible outpouring of support everyone has shown both Natalie and Megan…Peace to all!
Thanks be to our great God!
