From Rich Zepernick —
Could you please add this prayer request to your list from a gal I know through the Bible Bee? Her husband, Kip Morris, apparently now has Guillain-Barre Syndrome. He is in the hospital suffering a lot of complications and she asked for our prayers. They have two children in the home along with two new foster children with their own set of challenges (sort of foster children – not quite sure about this). He is in his mid-40’s I believe. Thank you.
Almighty God, giver of life and health, we pray for your servant Kip, now suffering this debilitating disease. We ask for your divine healing, for encouragement for his family, and we pray for your comfort through the healing touch of all of his caregivers. We ask that you would restore him to perfect health that he might continue to serve you and be the husband and father that you created him to be. These things we ask, in perfect confidence, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
The Mathis family invites any who do not already have plans for Easter to join them for lunch at their home after church on Easter Sunday. If you would like to join them, please let Sherry know on Sunday at church.
There will be a lunch after church tomorrow in the Green Room for anyone who wants to stay and enjoy the fellowship. Please bring something to share. This will be the last time to be with Sarah, Ezra, and Macy Nowery who are returning to the Middle East on Monday, so we hope many of you will be able to stay.
The Resounding Joy concert scheduled for this coming Sunday evening (March 29) has been cancelled. It is tentatively rescheduled for April 26 — more details to come.
Attached is the bulletin for this coming Sunday — Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday 2015 Blog Hope to see you there.
Pat Prenger & Karla Herman’s mother, Doris Prenger, passed away Thursday evening. She was at home and her husband and all her children were with her at the end. Viewing will probably be Sunday, 1-6 p.m. with funeral on Monday at 10:00 am in Minster, OH. (Hogenkamp’s Funeral Home)
We give you thanks, O Lord, for the life of Doris Prenger . In your boundless compassion, we pray that you would console all those who love her and mourn her loss. Give to them that faith which sees in death only the gate to life eternal, so that with purpose and courage they may continue their course on earth until, by your call, they are united with all loved ones gone before. We pray through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
From Chuck Evanhoe — This little boy, Bryson, is related to our Controller, Amber, by marriage. He is Amber’s husband’s aunt’s grandson.
He’s not in good shape. Burned everywhere but the bottom of his feet. He’s been taken to Shriner’s Burn Hospital and needs all the prayers we can give.
More information can be found here: http://www.whio.com/news/news/local/8-year-old-burned-in-troy-careflight-called/nkcYy/
I greatly appreciate your prayers for this little guy.
03-22-15 Fifth Sunday in Lent Blog Attached is the bulletin for this coming Sunday, the 5th Sunday in Lent.
The after-church lunch — open to all — this week will not be a carry-in. Instead, we will be going to the Wendy’s at the corner of Harshman (Woodman) and Colonel Glenn. There’s plenty of room for everyone and we hope many of you will plan to join us. (No cooking this week!)

(Only two people emailed that they want this bulletin, though a couple of people told me later. I was encouraged to just send the “direct” pdf file without the extra time of moving the pages around — which does take time.) We’ll keep working on ways to get this to people in a good way! Thanks for your patience.)
From Bp. Peter Manto —
I appreciate your prayers and concern for Anna. The attached is from her Dad.
We’d like to thank everyone for your prayers first of all. Anna had her last round of major chemo this week and is expected to make a full recovery.
She is still battling an abdominal inflammation brought on by low blood counts so will remain at Children’s in Cincinnati for at least a few more days. We appreciate your prayers for a full recovery from this, and that she would have no more seizures (brought on as a result of the intense chemo treatment).
We continue to trust in ‘Him who can do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.’
In Christ, Alan Camerer
I didn’t realize the date for this fundraiser for Melanie Rodrigues was so small that it’s hard to read…the fundraiser at the Huber Heights BW3 is all day tomorrow, March 9. Glad we had the chance to clarify this — hope some of you will come out to support Melanie.
Stanley Rodrigues’ daughter Melanie auditioned and was invited to train with Miami City Ballet (MCB) in Miami, Florida this summer!! She needs to raise $2,500 to cover the rest of her tuition and housing costs. Anything over that will go towards travel costs and local training. How? Bring the ticket or a picture of the ticket to eat at BW3s either for lunch or dinner at Huber Heights from 11am – close for 10% of sales going to my cause. Make a cash donation or buy a raffle ticket for a beautiful gift basket! Thank you so much!!
Great way to support our brother…and enjoy some tasty food!
Set your clocks ahead one hour tonight so that you’ll be ready for Daylight Savings Time when it begins at 2:00 a.m. See you in church (maybe a little sleepier than normal — but ready to worship!)
Attached is the bulletin for this coming Sunday, the Third Sunday in Lent. As a test, I am asking you to email me (email@example.com) if you want to see this blog version of the bulletin continued. Thank you very much. Blog 3 Lent

Don’t forget to set your clocks forward this Saturday night. Daylight Savings Time begins at 2:00 a.m. and we lose an hour of sleep — but we gain an hour of daylight in the afternoon!
This coming Sunday, March 8, the High School and Adult Sunday School classes will be privileged to hear Sarah Mathis Nowery share first-hand experiences working with Samaritan’s Purse to assist refugees in Iraq. Please plan to come and hear all the incredible things God is doing in that war-torn area.
Because of the weather, we have made the decision to cancel Sunday School and church today, March 1. Please stay warm and safe! And spend a few minutes thanking and praising God, and praying for all those who are suffering.
