There was news this evening of a plane crash in Montana. A B1 from Ellsworth AFB went down on a training flight. The
crew members were okay, injured but ok. This is Andrea Burns Smith’s husband Dave’s squadron, so it was very close to home.
Thanks be to God, no serious injuries and that Dave is fine. Accidents like this always make us mindful of the fragility of our lives and our dependence on the Lord.
THE DIDACHE Here are the slides from this week’s Adult Sunday School this morning. The reading assignment for next week is on the last slide. If you do not already have a copy of the Didache to read, it is below:
The Didache Text, Tony Jones translation
Happy reading, all!
Dcn Carl and Debby Smith have sold their home in Cedarville and are contemplating where they will be moving. They have requested prayers as there are many decisions to be made in a very short time. Please also pray for Jenny Kate during this transition time. Debby begins teaching school for the new year on Monday — and Jenny Kate begins her senior year. Lots and lots of changes.
Assist us mercifully, O Lord, in these our supplications and prayers, and give wisdom to and guide the decisions of your servants, Carl, Debby, and Jenny Kate; that, among all the
changes and chances of this mortal life, they may ever be defended by your gracious and ready help; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Egypt:
Give salvation and strength, O King of saints, to those who, being persecuted for righteousness’ sake, are in great tribulation; and grant that these your faithful followers,
loving not their lives unto the death and leaving all to follow you, may overcome by the word of their testimony, and overcoming, may inherit all things. Let any blood spilled
be for your people encouragement and faith to continue in your way, O Lord our fortress and our strength. Amen
A Forest Ridge swim team family is looking for a rental home. Their home near the Forest Ridge neighborhood has water problems and their current landlord asked them to move out so he can figure out and fix what is wrong. Do you know anyone who is renting or renting to own a home?
If you give me the information, I will pass it on to the family.
