From Anita Evanhoe:
Effective immediately I will be in charge of the kitchen area in regard to making sure like items are stored together, open containers of food are not left around, and a general keeping in order. How you may help in this effort is to put items back where you might have taken them from, take home/send home with someone or leave a note for Sunday hospitality to use open food such as crackers, candies, etc. that won’t be used in the very near future, put in plastic bags or containers (we will have those in cabinets) things that do actually need to stay at the church building, etc. Thank you so much for your help in this endeavor. Also, there is a notepad attached to one of the kitchen cabinets. Notes can be left there and, if you notice that we are running low on anything, please make a note of it on that pad as well. We hope that, with everyone’s cooperation, we can keep our inventory up-to-date, and our kitchen a bit more orderly.
One more thing on the Baby Bottle Boomerang campaign — Even if you didn’t put anything into the bottle, if you took one home with you, we would appreciate your returning it on Sunday so that we can return all the bottles to the Miami Valley Women’s Center. Thanks in advance!
Just a reminder that Easter Sunday is the last day to bring in your Baby Bottle Boomerang offering for the Miami Valley Women’s Center. Our children will be presenting this gift during the Offertory. Change, cash, or even checks would be most welcome!
Also, we are in need of a metal (not plastic) wagon to use on Sunday during the Offertory. If you have one we can use for that day, please let Dss. Candy know (572-6682 or email@example.com)
Thank you all for your generosity for this most worthy cause!
We will gather for our final Lenten Soup Supper and Prayer this evening at 6:00 p.m. at the church. Bring a soup to share; salad and bread provided. Prayer begins at 7:00. Hope to see you there.
Joe Sr. & Sheila are out of surgery and ok.
Please pray for both Joe and Sheila as they are
experiencing a lot of pain.
From Dorathea Fortener:

(Directions: I-75 North to Exit 82 (US 36 toward Urbana-Piqua), Turn right on 36 E (E.Ash Street), Follow 36 E, turn right on S. Walnut, take second right onto W. 1st, destination will be on the left.)
O Heavenly Father, we thank You for the blessed life of your child Janet Adduchio, and we remember that Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, wept at the grave of Lazarus his friend. Look, we pray, with compassion upon those who are now in sorrow; comfort them, O Lord, with Your gracious consolations; make them to know that all their hope is in You; and grant them evermore sure trust and confidence that we do not grieve as those who have no hope, but that our hope is in our everlasting eternity with You and all Your children, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

My fellow parishioners from Christ Our Hope and Christ the King. For many years we have traditionally gone out for oriental dinner on Easter Sunday and this year is no exception. We plan to go to the China Buffet in the Airway Plaza. We do need to have a head count so we can reserve the back room. If you are interested in joining us please contact Martha Berger either by phone or email. 937-546-7248 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let’s celebrate together,
Fr. Harry and family will be on vacation this week until late Sunday evening. If there are any pastoral concerns, needs, or emergencies, please call Fr. Chris (604-4949) or Dss. Candy (572-6682) for assistance. Also please keep the Mathis family in your prayers for travelling mercies.
We just received word from the JayCees that the meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, March 14, has been postponed until further notice. If you were planning to contribute cookies for this, thanks, but they aren’t needed after all!
Don’t forget to set your clocks forward one hour tonight before you go to bed so you’ll be on time for Sunday School and Church tomorrow. Sunday School begins at 9:30 for all ages, with Holy Eucharist at 10:30. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
From Karen Burns:
Robert spent the night at Children’s for observation. He was given steroids and breathing treatments, and treated for ear infections in both ears. Andrea reports, this morning that he is energetic and happy. They are just waiting on release papers to be signed and they’ll be home (well, back to Papa and Babuska’s house). Thank you everyone for your prayers.
Almighty God and precious Heavenly Father, we give You thanks and praise for Your goodness in restoring Robert to health. We bless You for Your faithfulness and lovingkindness to him and to all of us. We are eternally grateful, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
From Karen Burns:
Andrea (Burns) Smith just took l Robert to Urgent Care because he was having trouble breathing. There, the doctor determined that he needed to be at the hospital and is currently being transported by ambulance. Please pray for Robert and for the family.
Almighty God and Father, You understand the fears and concerns of all Your children and You are always merciful and filled with loving-kindness toward them. We pray for the healing of little Robert and we ask for peace and encouragement for his family. We ask You to restore his health that he might be a praise to Your glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with You and the Holy Spirit, are always caring for us, now and forever. Amen
Even though the weather isn’t the best for traveling (but aren’t the snowy trees awesome?), please note that the church parking lot is cleared, the soup will be warm, and we will have prayer tonight (Wed). Be safe. Meal at 6 pm, prayer at 7. -Jeff
This just arrived from Bishop Dan:
Marianne and I celebrated this afternoon because today was the last radiation treatment. We thank God for bringing her through this much of the therapy and pray that she won’t need anymore. We are leaving Sunday afternoon to go to the M. D. Anderson Cancer Clinic in Houston for consultations, and will be home Thursday afternoon unless we work it out to come home early.
Thank you for your prayers!
Lord Jesus Christ, our healer, we thank You for graciously seeing Marianne through her radiation treatments and protecting her. We pray for a wonderful outcome to the consultation with doctors in Houston next week, asking You to give them wisdom beyond their understanding and insight into proper approaches. We thank You for Your steadfast love and we thank You for our dear bishop and his wife who are even more precious to You than they are to us. We finally pray that the testimony from this experience with cancer will redound to the glory of God, for Your sake, O Lord.
