Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, just around the corner is the new year. Pat Prenger, Treasurer, is planning on emailing your 2012 giving statement for tithes and offerings to the Christ Our Hope. Please make sure that he has your correct email address by sending him an email at email@example.com. Thanks!
Year end giving, if you would like to make a tax deductible offering or gift to the church in 2012, please make sure and drop it in the offering basket this year or hand it to Pat Prenger, Treasurer. Checks need to be dated in 2012 and should be turned over to Pat in 2012 to make it onto your 2012 Christ Our Hope Giving Statement. Thank you!
If you missed the Christmas play on December 19, or if you are looking forward to seeing it again, join the cast as we present "Operation Baby King" at Livingston Care Center at 2:30 p.m.
Cast members: please arrive at Livingston at 2:00.
On the 5th day of Christmas my church gave to me – a Christmas pageant at the nursing home…
The service of Evening Prayer and Carols is cancelled this evening due to weather. Everyone stay warm and safe!
Wednesday Prayer this week, the day after Christmas, will consist of Carols and Prayers. Please join us at the church at 7 pm.
Hi, please come out in the morning,
tomorrow morning – Sunday morning,
to help finish setting up the church.
We had an event this weekend. We need
the altar setup, sound setup, and several
tables put back in place. In fact we need
the wise men to make camp again as
they continue their travels to the Bethlehem manger scene.
If you can help that will be great.
Jeff Brown arrives at 8:45 to setup the sound
system. Many hands make light work, so
if you have some that are available, please
come and help.
Most of the chairs are already setup so the
key area is sound and some of the Altar.
Thank you! Pat Prenger

From Anita Evanhoe:
My aunt, Bonnie, had her gall bladder removed right after Thanksgiving. She was told last week that it was cancer. Gall bladder cancer is rare, only 5,000 people a year. She still has to see an oncologist and have blood work and a Cat Scan done but they believe it is treatable at this point. We would appreciate your prayers.
Lord Jesus our healer, we thank You that You care so deeply for the pain and suffering of each of Your children. We ask Your grace and mercy for Your servant Bonnie, that you would comfort her in this time and relieve her fears with Your peace that passes all understanding. We pray for her complete healing according to the marvelous plans that You have for her. We pray for her family that they too will be comforted and trust You for the answer to this, our most fervent prayer. For Your sake, Lord Jesus, and for Your glory. Amen
Luminara Sale today from 1-4 at Christ our Hope. Setup starts
From Paul and Karen Burns:
We have an employee, Caleb, that injured his hand this morning when a log he was pushing up a ramp rolled back and crushed it. At this point all we know it that his little finger has a fracture (or chip) at the knuckle, and they are waiting for the hand surgeon to tell them more. He also has some injury to the end of the index finger. He is young, married with a son, and may be off work for a while. Please pray for his recovery and other needs to be met.
Lord Jesus, our hope and our healer, we pray for Caleb — that you would heal him quickly and bring about complete recovery of all hand function. We ask for the guidance of Your Holy Spirit with the surgeon to make the right decisions and take the right actions. We thank You that You are our Great Provider and we ask that You would provide in extraordinary ways for Caleb and his family during this time of healing. We thank You that we know that You already know what is best for this family and have undertaken, for the sake of Your great Name.
From Fr. Franklin Sanders:
Would you please pray for little 7-year old Quentin Konya? He is the grandson of Fr. Peter Manto & son of Keith & Erica Konya, and he is suffering from bladder problems that cause grave kidney infections. Suffering is hard enough when we undergo it personally. How much more does it tear us when it afflicts a beloved child!
“Father in heaven, our hearts are strengthened when we remember that our Lord Jesus reprimanded his disciples when they tried to keep little children away from him, and ordered them to let the children come to him, ‘for of such is the kingdom of God.’ So we come to you, Father, in sure hope, knowing that you love Quentin, and that you do not willingly afflict or grieve the children of men. Heal Quentin, we pray, and deliver him from every ill that has attacked him. Give Quentin and his parents and grandparents courage and patience and trust in you while they wait for your help, and visit them right soon, we pray, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

I apologize! I posted the wrong information about the Men’s Prayer Breakfast, even though Duane Veley gave me the correct info. The breakfast will be at the Bob Evans Restaurant across from Stebbins High School at 7:30 tomorrow morning because the church is being used for an event. Still good food, still good fellowship, still good time of prayer — just a different location!
Just a reminder that the monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast that was postponed last Saturday is tomorrow morning (December 8) at 7:30 am at the church. Come and enjoy good food, good fellowship, and a wonderful time of prayer with other men from our parish.
I look forward to seeing the cast at play practice tomorrow morning. Practice starts at 9:30 a.m. We will go through the play with the words and music. God bless, Karla Herman
