Mark Heinfeld Passed Away

Mark Heinfeld, Darlene’s dad,  passed away at approx.1:30 pm today. It was very very peaceful, an answer to Darlene’s long held prayer.

We will get out details sometime.

Please Pray for Mark Heinfeld

Hi everyone,

Just an update from Darlene and me concerning her Dad, Mark.  We are in
Van Wert Ohio with him at a hospice inpatient unit.
He was struggling with his breathing and some anxiety over the weekend and
got worse on Monday.  So Darlene decided to have him come to the inpatient
unit for a respite visit, try to get him back to normal.

Well yesterday he was struggling again with his breathing, and several
medications that help/improve the situation were not working.  Darlene
grew very concerned and had her brothers come over and I came up to Van
Wert last night at 11pm.  We all spent the night.

By last night when I arrived his breathing had again improved, but the
medications are making him sleepy, so he has been napping and I have not
seen him in an alert state (by my definition).

Darlene is resting now, Elizabeth took care of Bob last night, and got him
to school this morning.  I am up on the computer at the facility and will
get some work done and hang out.

We will try to keep you posted as things change.  Thanks for your prayers!

Suzie Herman is OK

Hi,

At about 4:00 I talked by phone with Suzie and Darlene. The doctor said that Suzie was OK, just to watch her for signs of concussion and gave her a muscle relaxer in case her back is really sore from dangling over the side of the flatbed trailer for a little while. Darlene was glad to have a doctor look her over and declare her not to be badly injured.

What happened was that Suzie and another girl, Gabby were moving a desk on the trailer. Suzie lost her footing and fell backwards off the flatbed trailer and hit her head on the ground, but her foot was caught and she dangled over the wheel for a little while til they could get her loose. Because her foot was caught she didn’t fall on her head as hard as she could have – interesting how God works. Suzie was in very good spirits and was excited about how wonderful their concerts have been.

I talked to her again at about 6:00 and Suzie had a bad headache, but was still in good spirits.

Thanks for all your prayers!

Prayer for Suzie H.

Hi,

Suzie hit her head when she fell off a truck in Florida. Darlene Prenger is taking her to the doctor in Port Canaveral, Florida to get her checked out. Please pray that the doctors don’t find anything wrong and all Suzie has is a headache. Theresa has also had some problems with her asthma, but that is staying, mostly, under control.

URGENT!!!! (Fr. Bishop Elect Felix Orji)
Please PRAY for Nigeria! Kaduna in northern Nigeria is on fire and many christian churches are being burnt because it appears the current president, Goodluck Jonathan, who is a Christian from southern Nigeria is winning. We need God’s intervention right NOW!

Brothers and Sisters of Hope:

This Sunday, Palm Sunday, I will lead a class on the various liturgies of Holy Week.  Some of what we will do will be familiar to most of you, whilst other parts may be unfamiliar.  This class is being provided in an effort to answer whatever questions may come to your minds this week about the various liturgies and traditions of Holy Week.  Please make every effort to be at class this Sunday so that we can all learn together.

Blessings to you in Jesus!

Urgent … Please post: help for job applicants

Dear church family,

Sandy learned that Economy Linen (downtown near Sinclair) has approximately 50 unskilled job openings. I have word out in the African community, and I’m expecting a large number of applicants. Each applicant will need someone to help them fill out their applications. It’s urgent to move quickly on this, and I’m begging for help. Could you spare a few hours Wednesday or Thursday to help someone apply for a job?

I have no details tonight (Tuesday), but if you can help in the next few days, please let me know asap. (Barb H. 878-9826,baharvey)

Thank you!

Easter decorating/flower time!

As you know, Easter is quickly approaching and we would love to decorate the sanctuary with flowers for this Celebration. If you would like to contribute to the flower fund please put your check in the offering plate with Flower Fund notated on the "notes" line.

We will have a sign-up sheet so that your donation may be made in honor or memory of someone.

These names will be listed in our Easter bulletins. Please sign up so we have a figure to work with as we plan the flowers for our Easter celebration. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to check with Tammy Abshear, Martha Berger, or Karen Burns.

PARISH SURVEY

A hard copy of the Parish Mission Statement Survey was given out in your bulletin last Sunday.  If you have not yet submitted a survey, please go to the link below and fill out the Parish Mission Statement Survey so that we may have everyone’s input.  Your timely responses are greatly appreciated.
